Contemporary Theatricalities between the Private Space and the Public Space. The Experience of What Is "Unheimlich"

Abstract

<p>The relationship between the private and public dimensions is one of the main pillars of the discourse on the performing arts. The architectonic space of theatre dialogues with the urban space in which it is located and with the community to which it refers; the shaping of the performative space determines the relationship between a group of individuals and a stage conceived as the place where individuality is exteriorised; the performative space goes beyond precedents, with which it coexists and confronts itself, determining the reception and turning the private experience of the spectator/participant into a public theme. Based on these ideas, we will see how this issue has influenced the emergence of different dramatic and performance events in recent years.</p>

<p>La relació entre dimensió privada i dimensió pública és un dels pilars fonamentals del discurs sobre l’art teatral. L’espai arquitectònic del teatre dialoga amb l’espai urbà en què s’ubica i amb la comunitat a la qual es refereix; la conformació de l’espai escènic determina la relació entre un grup d’individus i un escenari concebut com el lloc en el qual la individualitat s’exterioritza; l’espai performatiu transcendeix els precedents, amb els quals coexisteix i es confronta, amb la qual cosa condiciona la percepció i converteix l’experiència privada de l’espectador/participant en un tema públic. A partir d’aquestes idees veurem com aquesta qüestió ha influït en el naixement de diferents propostes dramàtiques i espectaculars en els últims anys.</p>
